not tamil the original was Telugu movie Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu directed by Puri jagganath.First vijay copied & made the tamil remake now prabhu deva made this hindi copy.both tamil & hindi lack the flair when compaired to Telugu which was a blockbuster.the hindi movie works only becoz of Salman.Mind u if there was any other actor than Sallu than this would've bombed 100%:)

huh.. I thought bollywood would make a good movie when I heard that it was remake of Pokiri.. It's a total let down.. Salman khan is the wrong selection for this role. Salman looks more like a joker. I like many of his movies.. But, this movie and the role when compared to the original, is not his cup of tea.. period.
