This is the best rendition of the ghazal, humera channa's version is also
good Mehdi is the original song but this ghazal seems to suit female
vocalists. I haven't heard a different male version that is worth
remembering other than Mehdi's

Runa jee somehow do not acknowledge the great Pya Rang saheb who was my
ustad also in Karachi days when she was 6 or may be 7 and Piya Saheb gave
her the best initial training in Classical music, but unfortunately she
never mentions him vey sad. Pya saheb died in Rawalpindi.
