Hi, not sure if you got the answer to question. What the singer is doing not really anything classical but just singing a melody more like a stacatto way. Imagine that you take some notes on piano and play them in a loop again n again. He just rather than giving names Sa Re Ga etc to those notes just sung them syllabically.
