@SPChitale Shailendra is THE MOST PROLIFIC Hindi lyricist of all time. There are many others, some may be called 'better' by some, but there is no denying how great Shailendra was. It is incredible that someone who listens to Hindi music does not know who Shailendra was. Not to be a wiseguy, but do you know who Kaifi, Sahir, Majrooh, Anand Bakshi, Indeevar were?

There is some misunderstanding on my comments. I do know and appreciate the greatness of Shailendraji. he was simply superb and his lyrics were expressions of common man hearttouching. Perhaps I was not able to express correctly I only wanted to confirm who was the lyricist.Anyway thanks for the comments.
