Lyrics of Zindagi Ka Aasra Samjhe Tujhe O Bewafa - ज़िंदगी का आसरा समझे तुझे ओ बेवफ़ा
jinadgi ka aasra samjhe tujhe o bewfa
jinadgi ka aasra samjhe tujhe o bewfa
bade nadan the ham haye
samjhe bhi to kya samjhe
bade nadan the ham haye
samjhe bhi to kya samjhe
mohabbat me hame taqdeer ne
dhokhe diye kya kya dhokhe diye kya kya
mohabbat me hame taqdeer ne
dhokhe diye kya kya dhokhe diye kya kya
jo dil ka dard tha us dard ko hum
dil ki dava samjhe
jo dil ka dard tha us dard ko hum
dil ki dava samjhe
hamari bebasi ye keh rahi hai haye ro ro ke
hamari bebasi ye keh rahi hai haye ro ro ke
duboya usne kashti ko
jise ham apna khuda samjhe
duboya usne kashti ko
jise ham apna khuda samjhe
kidar jaye ke is duniya me koi bhi nahi apna
usi ne bewafai ki jise jane wafa samjhe
usi ne bewafai ki jise jane wafa samjhe
tujhe o bewafa ham jindagi ka aasra samjhe
jinadgi ka aasra samjhe tujhe o bewfa
bade nadan the ham haye
samjhe bhi to kya samjhe
bade nadan the ham haye
samjhe bhi to kya samjhe

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Zindagi Ka Aasra Samjhe Tujhe O Bewafa - ज़िंदगी का आसरा समझे तुझे ओ बेवफ़ा
You, faithless one, we thought you life's embrace,
So foolish were we, lost in time's maze.
And what we grasped, if grasped at all,
Was naught but shadows, destined to fall.
In love's cruel game, fate dealt its blows,
Deceits unveiled, where sorrow grows.
The ache within, the heart's despair,
We mistook for solace, a cure to bear.
Our helplessness, a mournful plea,
In weeping tears, for all to see.
He sank the ship, the trusted guide,
Him, we hailed as God, with naught to hide.
Where to wander, in this world so vast,
When kinship's flame has burned so fast?
The one we loved, with loyalty's guise,
Betrayed our trust, before our eyes.
You, faithless one, we thought you life's embrace.

Khemchandji died at young age of 42 before release of Mahal in 1950 and
could not see success of film-Mahal and Lata along with it. What a loss to
the film music who had established miles ahead of all other Music Directors
and he was flooded with offers of film which he could not complete in his
life time and Mannadey completed the music direction of remaining films
offered to Khemchand ji due to his death.

It is Khemchand Prakash, the best ever Music Director of Bollywood (who was
Guru of Naushad as Naushad worked as his assistant and learnt classical
music from him)and this song, who brought Lata in limelight by this song of
Ziddi in 1948, followed by "Ayega anewala" in other film-Mahal in 1949 and
Lata became rage/famous overnight all over India. Before that Lata was
rejected in audition by the producer-Mr.Shah of Mahal but Khemchand ji
persisted with Lata and convinced the producer about Lata.
