My pleasure Qandeel Sis that it's your favourite ghazal.. Many thanks for
your praise.. Yes, this ghazal is a perfect blend in terms of lyrics, music
& singer & it's nice to know that you met Talat Aziz & listened to his
renditions. It's also nice that he belong to your hometown. He was supposed
to be launched as a hero in Mahesh Bhatt's `Dhun'(1992), but the film never
saw the light of the day but as a ghazal singer he's surely excelled & is
the best we have.

The Amar score was actually by the great maestro Naushad, but Khayyam was
always superb, indeed. Shola Aur Shabnam, Lala Rukh, and Muhabbat Isko
Kehte Hain have some of the sweetest music ever,all by Khayyam. His Umrao
Jaan score was doubtlessly his all-time best work. You are right about the
movie. It is a treasure of inestimable value.

score..Furthermore, the film itself is still a `Real Treat' to watch,
unlike the recent horrible remake of `Umrao Jaan' done by Aishwariya Rai..
