vishnu bane mohini smsyaa suljhne ko

dev rup rangdaho amrit pine ko aaya
chal na saka uska chhal hari ne chakr chlaya
kata rahu ka shish sudrsan chakr se chhan mai
jo bhi jaisa kare bhare waisa jiwan me

devo ke hit sagar me jo kchhap rup dhre
wahi prbhu dukh ke sagar se sab ko paar kare
vishnu puran sune jo koi wo bhav sidh kare
keshab kripa sindh karunamaye jai jagdis hare

This world, an ocean vast, we are but straws, adrift,

Only those with Him, the Boundless, can truly lift.

By Vishnu's command, gods and demons did convene,
For churning the ocean, a spectacle unseen.
The serpent, the churn, with Mandara's might,
Devas and Rakshasas, ready for the fight.

Below Hari's form, the mountain did descend,
And He, himself, atop, the process did attend.
The ocean churned, a turmoil began to rise,
He made the impossible, real before our eyes.

First, the poison, Alahala, on the waves did appear,
From the Kalakuta fire, all living things held fear.
For the good of all, Shiva chose to consume,
That poison, the Mahadeva, in the darkest gloom.
Neelkanth, Har Har Mahadev, Jai Jai Shiv Shambhu.

The moon then arose, graced Shiva's crown,
Forever in his presence, glory did abound.
Kamadhenu emerged, for the sages' need,
The wish-granting tree, Nandan's sweet seed.
Apsaras, with Varuni, beautiful and bright,
Sura and Sundari, bringing joy and light.
Lakshmi arose, on a lotus, the world's delight,
Lakshmi and Narayana, their union, a sight.

Dhanvantari, the vessel of nectar in hand,
Rose from the ocean, across the land.
Gods and demons, for the nectar, they did leap,
Vishnu, as Mohini, the secret to keep.
He danced and enthralled, all hearts did sway,
And the divine, to the Devas, did convey.
In Deva form, Rahu, the nectar sought to seize,
But Hari's chakra, the deception did appease.
Rahu's head severed, by Sudarshan's gleam,
As you sow, so shall you reap, it would seem.

For the Devas, he took the form of a turtle so grand,
He who lifts from the ocean, across the land.
Whoever listens to Vishnu's lore, the ocean they'll tread,
Keshav's grace, with compassion, he'll be led.
Sing his praises, that bring joy and end pain,
Hare Jai Jagdish Hare, again and again.
