kashi ke vasi avinashi vishwanath ki hai pyari
charan sparsh kar chali janvi ganga ji ki balihari
harish chandar ne yahi satya ke liye bech di niz nari
vishnath mandir jhalke darshan ko aate sab chalke
jyoti swaran kalas ki chalke ganga dhar girja pati ko parnam hai

kurukshetar me hi muniyo ne pahla mantar sunaya tha
yahi parth ko parbhu ne geeta karam yog batlaya tha
hari dwar hai dwar hari ka hari ne ise bataya tha
sankat mochan ghat virat ye mukti ke liye banaya tha
har ke tedhi har ki chaw jaha pade hari ke paw
or na koi aisa gaw marityu lok ka ye antim viram hai

jab tap punay bhakti shakti se parshan shri kamlesh hue

bada dono ka ashtan inka lawanay lalit lalam hai

Understand, oh world, this tempestuous design,
Their mere sight, a path to the light, a sign.

Chitrakoot, where trinity descended,
Where Nala and Dharma's redemption transcended,
From their tresses, salvation extended.
Mathura's embrace, where Krishna contended,
Slaying the wicked, their darkness suspended,
In Vrindavan, with Radha, beauty blended,
This place of pilgrimage, divine, well-intended.
Prayag, where devotion's music ascended,
To humankind, the world's wisdom commended,
Where three rivers meet, their waters befriended.

Varanasi, on Shiva's trident, so grand,
Its image unique, a mystical land,
Kashi's residents, immortal, they stand,
Beloved by Vishwanath, across the sand,
Ganges flowing, a touch of the hand,
Harishchandra's truth, a sacrifice planned,
For truth's sake, all belongings abandoned.
Vishwanath's temple, a radiant strand,
Pilgrims gather, across the land,
A golden vessel, the Ganga's command,
To Shiva, the mountain's lord, homage is spanned.

In Kurukshetra, the first mantra resounds,
Where Krishna to Arjuna, the Gita expounds,
The path of karma, on hallowed grounds,
Hari's door, a gateway that surrounds,
The weary heart, where solace is found,
Sankat Mochan Ghat, where freedom abounds,
For liberation, the path is unbound.
Where Hari's feet, on the shore are crowned,
No other village, where life is unwound,
This is the end of the earthly bound,
A resting place for all gods, their sacred shrine.

Rishikesh, where all strife is released,
When penance, virtue, and devotion increased,
The trials of Kamalesh, finally ceased.
Kalindi, with Krishna, their love increased,
Yamuna flows, her beauty released,
For Hari's feet, their love has not decreased,
Joshi Math, where Rudra's greatness is creased,
Both are great, their glory is increased,
Their beauty divine, never deceased.
