Lyrics of Teri Bindiyaa Re, Aaye Haaye Teri Bindiyaa Re - तेरी बिंदिया रे
teri bindiya re, aay haay, teri bindiya re
teri bindiya re, aay haay, teri bindiya re
sajan bindiya le legi teri nindiya
re aay haay, teri bindiya re
tere maathe lage hain yu, jaise chanda taara
jiya mein chamke kabhi kabhi to, jaise koyi angaara
tere maathe lage hain yu
sajan nindiya
sajan nindiya le legi, le legi, le legi
meri bindiya
re aay haay, tera jhumka re
aay haay, tera jhumka re
chain lene na dega sajan tumka
re aay haay mera jhumka re
mera gehna balam tu, tose sajke dolu
bhatakte hain tere hi naina, main to kuchh na bolu
mera gehna balam tu
to phir ye kya bole hai, bole hai, bole hai
tera kangna
re aay haay, mera kangna re
bole re ab to chhute na tera angna
re aay haay tera kangna re
tu aayi hai sajaniya, jab se meri banke
thumak thumak chale hai jab tu, meri nas nas khanke
tu aayi hai sajaniya, sajan ab to
sajan ab to chhute na, chhute na, chhute na
tera angna
re aay haay, tera kangna re
sajan ab to chhute na tera angna
re aay haay tera angna re
teri bindiya re, aay haay, teri bindiya re
sajan bindiya le legi teri nindiya

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Teri Bindiyaa Re, Aaye Haaye Teri Bindiyaa Re - तेरी बिंदिया रे
Your forehead's jewel, oh, my love, your forehead's jewel,
Your forehead's jewel, oh, my love, your forehead's jewel.
My love will steal your sleep,
Oh, my love, your forehead's jewel.
Upon your brow it rests, a moon, a star's soft gleam,
Within my heart it shines, a fiery, fleeting dream.
Upon your brow it rests...
My love, your sleep,
My love will steal, will steal, will steal,
My forehead's gem.
Oh, my love, your earring's sway,
Oh, my love, your earring's sway,
Will not let my love find rest, come what may,
Oh, my love, my earring's sway.
My ornament, my love, for you, adorned, I roam,
My wandering eyes, on you alone, my heart, your home.
My ornament, my love...
Then what does this one speak, it speaks, it speaks,
Your bangle's chime.
Oh, my love, my bangle's chime,
Now never can I leave your space, in time,
Oh, my love, your bangle's chime.
You came, my love, and made me yours to keep,
With every step you take, my veins in rhythm leap.
You came, my love, and now, my love,
Now never can I leave, can leave, can leave,
Your space, forever.
Oh, my love, your bangle's chime,
Now never can I leave your space, in time,
Oh, my love, your bangle's chime.
Your forehead's jewel, oh, my love, your forehead's jewel.
My love will steal your sleep,
Oh, my love, your forehead's jewel.
Upon your brow it rests, a moon, a star's soft gleam,
Within my heart it shines, a fiery, fleeting dream.

Wow ! What a wonderful song ! Prabably one of the best songs I've ever heard. The one that you would like to watch again & again and still never satisfied. Only S D Burman can produce such a masterpiece [in my opinion]. Hats off to the great music director !
And Jaya Bhaduri...what can I say ! She simply rocks.!.absolutely brilliant.! !
Anybody who hasn't seen this film yet, I strongly recommend to watch it asap. Believe me, you are in for a treat.
Thank you very much.

Lata's natural voice (e.g. when she is giving an interview) is not that high, it is about the same or sightly higher than that of a "normal" female voice. Rumour has it that she fell out with many music composers simply because they insisted that she should lower her pitch. I have rarely seen an actress "act out" the pitch of a song, nor do we seem to care.

Jaya Bhaduri's character is the heart & soul of this film and she is awesome. Her acting is so good that you can almost feel her pain. ...Absolutely Brilliant ! ! !

Such a beautiful song ,and amazing lyrics.
How they capture the feelings of a newly wed couple, and make the listener feel the same emotions.I mean the lyrics are so much kinda mental conversation rather than verbal..if u understand

Centuries will pass before another voice of such calibre, elocution and
style will be gifted to this planet again. No body could ever reach to
their heights. They had complete control in all sorts of variations in
singing. A naive pair, they could naturally justify the poetic lyrics and I
think the poets created these inspired by their voice as they could imagine
their creations just as the composers did, Lata & Rafi Sahib are immortal
and their art will be remembered. (3rd March 2011)
