@chamogaa Sir i am amazed how brilliantly you describe the beauty of Shyama
like a poet. I too found her very attractive. But it was sad that she
refused to work with Guru Dutt in "Pyaasa" because she raised her price
after the success of "Aar Paar". Kaash Shyama Ji ne "Pyaasa" mein role kiya
hota.

This is a song that will never die. This surely should count as one of the
greatest duets from Bollywood. Guru Dutt and Shyama act out this song well.
Rafi and Geeta's voices are just superb and OPN comes out with his best.

I knew she was an athletic Punjabi Sikh girl whom Sardul Kwatra introduced
to acting in movies, but I didn't know she was from Lahore. Now in her 70s,
she is rotund-- really heavy in shape and weight. Thanks for the info.

Shyama was one of the loveliest actresses in my youth-- statuesque in
shape, with a sweet face and a smile that looked as if a thousand flower
buds had suddenly opened their petals. The slight wrinkles of the bridge
