Samay O Dheere Chalo (Female) - समय ओ धीरे चलो
Lyrics of Samay O Dheere Chalo (Female) - समय ओ धीरे चलो
samay o dhire chalo
bujh gayi raah se chhaon
dur hai dur hai pee ka gaon
dhire chalo dhire chalo

jee ko bahla liya
tune aas niras ka khel kiya
tune aas niras ka khel kiya
char dino me koi jiya na jiya
char dino me koi jiya na jiya
jahar ye sans ka piya na piya
jahar ye sans ka piya na piya

ye hawa sab le gayi
karwa ke nishan bhi udha le gayi
karwa ke nishan bhi udha le gayi
udti hawao wale milenge kaha
udti hawao wale milenge kaha
koi bata do mere piya ka nishan
koi bata do mere piya ka nishan

samay o dhire chalo
bujh gayi raah se chaav
dur hai dur hai pee ka gaav
dhire chalo dhire chalo

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Samay O Dheere Chalo (Female) - समय ओ धीरे चलो
Time, oh, walk softly now,
Shadows have fled the path,
My Beloved's village, a distant breath,
Walk softly, walk slowly now.

The heart, it found solace,
In the game of hope and despair you wove,
In the game of hope and despair you wove.
In four days, did anyone truly live?
In four days, did anyone truly live?
The poison of breath, did they drink it down?
The poison of breath, did they drink it down?

The wind, it took all away,
Even the tracks of the caravan were swept,
Even the tracks of the caravan were swept.
Where will those born of the wind be found?
Where will those born of the wind be found?
Tell me, where are the signs of my Love?
Tell me, where are the signs of my Love?

Time, oh, walk softly now,
Shadows have fled the path,
My Beloved's village, a distant breath,
Walk softly, walk slowly now.

These new composers, so-called, are mediocre. Do they know anything about
melody? Great singers like Lataji need great composers to shine. That's why
with a few exceptions her finest work lies in the period before the 1970s.

This is absolutely divine. Only singers like Lata and Asha can make your
hair stand on ends with their voices. Absolutely wonderful and magnificent.
Can listen to this over and over again.

@mainaparna: No. When you look at the intro of the movie, it is sung by
Asha!!!! It is altogether different that Lata didi has sung it in an even
more divine manner!!!!

Yeah this is the Lata Mangeshkar rendition. The movie has the Asha Bhosle
version.
