Lyrics of Puchh Rahe Hai Puchhanewaale - पूछ रहे हैं पूछनेवाले
aarju thi hame itana jahek se maut mil jaaye
saari duniya me kisi se to muhobbat mil jaaye
jite ji paaya na kuchh hamne jamaanewaalo
ab janaaje ko to rukhsat ki ijaajat mil jaaye
puch rahe hai puchhanewaale
puch rahe hai puchhanewaale
lekin hum batalaaye kya
lekin hum batalaaye kya
daag ye dil ne paaye hain kaise
daag ye dil ne paaye hain kaise
unko hum samjhaaye kya
unko hum samjhaaye kya
puchh rahe hai puchhanewaale
kitne daag hain is daaman me
kitne daag hain maathe par
kitne daag hain is daaman me
kitne daag hain maathe par
jo humko apna sakate the sach hai
hume apanaaye kya
daag ye dil ne paaye hain kaise
unko hum samajhaaye kya
puchh rahe hai puchhanewaale
jo apno ki basati thi
ab nagari hai begaano ki
jo apno ki basati thi
ab nagari hai begaano ki
kon yaha hai sunanewaala
dil ki baat sunaaye kya
daag ye dil ne paaye hai kaise
unako ham samajhaaye kya
puchh rahe hai puchhanewaale
patthar ab kya fenk rahe ho
hum pehle se jakhmi hai
ho patthar ab kya fenk rahe ho
hum pehle se jakhmi hai
dil par kitne jakhm lage hai
chhodo tumhe ginawaaye kya
daag ye dil ne paaye hain kaise
unko hum samajhaaye kya

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Puchh Rahe Hai Puchhanewaale - पूछ रहे हैं पूछनेवाले
A wish I held, to vanish from this world,
A death so swift, a love to be unfurled
Across the globe, a kindred heart to find.
But life gave naught, a cruel, relentless grind.
Now, as I leave, a final grace I crave,
A gentle farewell, from this earthly grave.
They ask, the curious, they inquire,
But what can I, in truth, respire?
These scars my heart has borne in secret deep,
How can I tell them of the wounds I keep?
They ask, they question, evermore.
How many stains upon my sleeve I bear,
How many marks upon my brow appear?
How many stains upon my sleeve I bear,
How many marks upon my brow appear?
Those who could love, could understand my plight,
Would they embrace me in the fading light?
These scars my heart has borne in secret deep,
How can I tell them of the wounds I keep?
They ask, they question, evermore.
The home of kin, now alien ground,
The city of belonging, nowhere found.
The home of kin, now alien ground,
The city of belonging, nowhere found.
Who here will listen, hear my whispered plea?
How can I share my soul's deep agony?
These scars my heart has borne in secret deep,
How can I tell them of the wounds I keep?
They ask, they question, evermore.
Why hurl these stones, this brutal, final blow?
My heart is broken, long ago.
Why hurl these stones, this brutal, final blow?
My heart is broken, long ago.
How many wounds upon my spirit lie?
Why list them now, beneath a weeping sky?
These scars my heart has borne in secret deep,
How can I tell them of the wounds I keep?
They ask, they question, evermore.
A death so swift, a love to be unfurled
Across the globe, a kindred heart to find.

Saw this movie awhile back it's ending is so sad. Then again I'm one for
tragedy. I liked the ending because it was sad, but not. That's more
realistic I think than a happy ending. :)

seeing this makes me bittersweet as the trend in bollywood is to employ
women who have not even a fraction of this grace. aish is amazing but
obviously not amazing as rekha and meena. but shes the best for today.
