When Rāma heard this sorrowful plea,
Hanumān to Lankā, set forth, to be free.

Hanumān searched, where grief was profound.
In Aśoka's garden, she sat, alone,
Drowned in sorrow, a heart of stone.
The ring he bore, a sacred sign,
To Sītā he gave, a hope divine.
Upon it, the name of Śrī Rāma,

Hanumān, Lankā ablaze, burning bright,
Returned to Rāma, with all his might.
With Sugrīva, and the monkey horde,
An army of strength, the tale explored.
Clouds of war then gathered above,
A bridge across the ocean, built with love.
To vanquish Lankā, Śrī Rāma did prepare,
Devoted Sītā, the noblest Rāma.

The battle raged, a fearsome sight,
Truth's arrow loosed, in the fading light.
Ten heads of Rāvaṇa, severed and gone,
Gods and mortals, rejoiced in the dawn.
Sītā, brought back, to her rightful place,
A trial by fire, to prove her grace.
A test so strange, a heart so pure,
Sītā, a saint, forever to endure.
"Such injustice!" the people cried,
"Such injustice!" as tears they hide.
"Such injustice!" echoing far,
Agni, the fire, bows to her star.
