The Light of God, the Light of God,
Guide us on the Straight Path,
The path of those You have favored,
Not of those who earn Your wrath, nor of those who go astray.

The Light of God, a constant gleam,
The Light of God, a waking dream,
From depths of heart, a plea I send,
The Light of God, upon me bend.
Oh, my Master, show Thy face,
The Light of God, in time and space.

By the grace of the Holy Five,
By Prophet Muhammad, alive,
By Ali, the solver of all plight,
And Fatima's children, shining light.
Oh, my Master, I am thine,
The Light of God, a holy sign.

My existence, a fleeting day,
My being, destined to decay.
You are the First, the Everlasting,
You are the Only, ever lasting.
Oh, my Master, guide my way,
The Light of God, come what may.
Oh, my Master, show Thy face,
The Light of God, in time and space.

Forgive my selfish, erring ways,
Forgive my sins, through endless days.
My garment stained, yet seeks to mend,
My garment stained, let it transcend.
Grant me entry to Thy door,
All I ask for, and nothing more.
