vo apani khubi-e-qismat pe kyo naa naaz kare

dilo ko fikar-e-do_aalam se kar diyaa aazaad
tere junun kaa khudaa silsalaa daraaz kare

gam-e-jahaan se jise ho firaag ki khwaahish
vo unake dard-e-muhabbat se saaz-baaz kare

ummidwaar hai har simt aashiqo ke groh
teri nigaah ko allaah dilniwaaz kare

Whom the Beloved's gaze initiates to secret,
Why should that soul not boast of its own fortune's meet?
From worries of the worlds, hearts freed and flown,
May God extend the thread of your madness, sown.

He who desires release from worldly woes,
Let him find harmony with love's deep throes.
From every side, lovers, hopeful, throng,
May God make tender your gaze, make it strong.
