Death will come, death is destined,
One day, the soul must be relinquished.
Those who once wore jewels in their crowns,
Now their heads stumble on the grounds.
The heavens are not short on cruelties,
Hearts still beat within these realities.

Compelled by sorrow, we meet today,
Tongues are sealed, yet lips still sway.
To distract the heart with comrades near,
Or to console it when alone, in fear.
To weep and burden the weary soul,
Remember my final, whispered scroll.
Beware, lest sighs should overflow,
Lest crimson tears from lips should flow.
