chota ashra o wi hun kehan laga

itta wadiya ne jinda nikiya ne
tur chaan teu wi hun grahan laga

Mother Gujri bore a mountain of woe,
A test of time, the harsh winds did blow.

A pair of innocents, a tender pair,
Even now, they're not where they should share.

The elder sons, to the fort did depart,
Even the youngest now knew a broken heart.

Such grand designs, the living did weep,
Departure's shadow, even the sun did keep.
