सन्नटा ही गूँज रहा हो ऐसा भी हो सकता है

(सदा = आवाज़)

मेरा माज़ी मुझ से बिछड़ कर क्या जाने किस हाल में है
मेरी तरह वो भी तन्हा हो ऐसा भी हो सकता है

(माज़ी = बीता हुआ समय)

सहरा सहरा कब तक मैं ढूँढूँ उल्फ़त का इक आलम
आलम आलम इक सहरा हो ऐसा भी हो सकता है

(सहरा = विस्तार, जंगल, रेगिस्तान), (आलम = दशा, हालत)

अह्ल-ए-तूफाँ सोच रहे हैं साहिल डूबा जाता है
