A wedding vowed, with age's cruel hand,
A bride of youth, in a barren land.

Old age arrived, to steal her reign.

On hope's cold bier, a final rest,
Eyes gazed towards, with longing pressed.
A knock resounded, at the door's cold face,
Her life stood still, within its space.
Her soul did tremble, tears took flight,
She thought her honor, took its blight.

With hennaed hands, she gave her all.
She took the blade, with steady hand,
And pierced her breast, in that cold land.
