Lyrics of Gidhraaj Ki Kathaa - दे हिसार रा का (?) सुमिरन कइके औ गनपति के चरन मनाय
de hisaar raa kaa (?) sumiran ka_ike au ganapati ke charan manaay
gidh jataayu ki karani ki mithi baate de_u sunaay

raam lakhan bin suni kutiyaa dhari ke kapat jati kaa bhes
mahaaraani sitaa kaa hari ke raavan lihe jaat hai bides

aarat baani mahaaraani ke pari gaye geedhraaj ke kaan
krodhwant hoike khag dhaawaa jaise chale dhanus se baan

rath par dekhis jab raavan kaa tab khag dihis garu lalakaar
are thaadh raho dusht kahun kaa mere jivat na pa_ihe paar

ni_are jaaye bahut samjhaayasi raavan dihis na taniko dhyaan
tab dut padaa raavan par jaise giri par vajr mahaan

sir ke kesh pakari ke khichis rath ke niche dihis giraay
lochan ghaav anekan kinhisi murchhaa rahi ghadi bhar chhaay

bahut bachaav kihis dasakandhar jab naa yaa tau chalaa upaay
tab talawaar myaan se kaadhi ke au pachhi pe dihis chalaay

pankh pakheru ke kaate se jab dhar se giraa gidh laachaar
raam raam kai der (?) lagaai mujhikaa daras deu karataar

dinaanaath sadaa bhagatan ke raakhai ek raam bhagawaan
puran bhaye abhilaas gidh ke aaye chalike krripaanidhaan

suni sab haal gidh ke dehi pherin haath apan raghubir
bhaagi pir miti bhav bhiraa paavat pachhi dibya sharir

jetanadhaari par upakaari te hai dhanya jagat ke bir
jinape haath raam ji phere jag maa kabahu na dekhai nir
lyrics of song Gidhraaj Ki Kathaa
Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Gidhraaj Ki Kathaa - दे हिसार रा का (?) सुमिरन कइके औ गनपति के चरन मनाय
First, I bow to Ganesha's feet,
Then sing of Jatayu's deed, so sweet.

Empty hut without Ram and Lakshman,
A false guise, a cunning plan.
Ravana steals Sita, across the sea,
A princess stolen, for all to see.

The Queen's cries reach the eagle's ears,
Jatayu rages, fueled by fears.
He swoops in anger, a feathered dart,
To challenge evil, tear it apart.

He sees Ravana upon his throne,
And with a mighty cry, he's known:
"Stand and fight, you wicked soul!
While I live, you'll reach no goal!"

He pleads and warns, but Ravana's cold,
Then strikes him down, a story told.
Like lightning striking, a fearsome blow,
The eagle falls, his body low.

He pulls the hair, casts him to ground,
Then wounds his eyes, all around.
For a moment, darkness takes hold,
As the eagle's story must unfold.

Ten-headed tried, but could not win,
The sword is drawn, the fight begins.
Wings are severed, the body falls,
A plea for help, the hero calls.

"Ram, Ram," he cries, "Lord of all!
Grant me your sight, lest I fall."
The Lord protects the faithful true,
Ram arrives, and sees him through.

He hears the tale, the eagle's plight,
And Raghuvir touches with light.
Pain is gone, fear takes flight,
The bird receives a form so bright.

Those who help, who give and share,
Are heroes, beyond compare.
Those touched by Ram, with grace so deep,
Shall never drown, in slumber sleep.
