Lyrics of Ek Din Bik Jaayega Mati Ke Mol - II - एक दिन बिक जायेगा माटी के मोल
ek din bik jayega maati ke mol
jag me rah jayenge pyare tere bol
mahlo me ho tere bolo ki masti
galiyo me ho tere geeto ki basti
mahlo me ho tere bolo ki masti
galiyo me ho tere geeto ki basti
kya raja kya parja, kya raja kya parja
kya bhuda kya bacha, kya bhuda kya bacha
sare insano ki hai ek teri hasti
nikle teri aawaj jo bhi chhede saaz
jivan ki dhun ban ja phir duniya se dol
ek din bik jayega mati ke mol
jag me rah jayenge pyare tere bol
jag me rah jayenge pyare tere bol
mahlo me ho tere bolo ki masti
galiyo me ho tere geeto ki basti
mahlo me ho tere bolo ki masti
galiyo me ho tere geeto ki basti
kya raja kya parja, kya raja kya parja
kya bhuda kya bacha, kya bhuda kya bacha

Poetic Translation - Lyrics of Ek Din Bik Jaayega Mati Ke Mol - II - एक दिन बिक जायेगा माटी के मोल
Dust to dust, the market's greed will claim,
But echoes of your love will whisper your name.
In marble halls, your laughter's bright cascade,
In humble streets, your melodies are played.
In marble halls, your laughter's bright cascade,
In humble streets, your melodies are played.
What king, what subject, both alike shall fall,
What elder, child, embracing life's recall.
One breath, one heart, binds all of humankind,
Let music surge, the strings your spirit find.
Become life's song, then dance for all to see,
Dust to dust, the market's greed will be.
But echoes of your love will always be.

@VISHUDDHATMA Appreciate your translation of this song which an average
person having reasonable knowledge in Hindi would have found it difficult
to understand the Philosophical meaning this song carries along with. So it
could also mean like this in simpler terms "When you are born you cry and
the world laughs at you, so lead a life such that when you die you laugh
and the world cries at you". A True Meaningful Classical Song.

Ek din bik jayega, matee ke mol
Jag me reh jayenge pyare tere bol
Duje ke hotho ko dekar apne git
Koyee nishanee chhod, phir duniya se dol
Ek din...
Anhonee path me kante lakh bichaye
Honee toh phir bhee bichhda yar milaye
Yeh birha yeh duree, do pal kee majburee
Phir koyee dilwala kahe ko ghabraye taram pam...
Dhara jo behtee hai milke rehtee hai
Behtee chara ban ja phir duniya se dol
Ek din...
Ek din bik jayega, matee ke mol
Jag me reh jayenge pyare tere bol
Duje ke hotho ko dekar apne git

This one is in Hindi. The wordings of the songs have a profound
philosophical meaning. The third stanza : Parde ke piiche bethi saaval
gori, thaamke tere mere man ki dori... really invokes the eternal One
within all of us...gori is used generally for a beautiful belle, but here
the implications are much higher. Yeh dori na choote, yeh bandhan na
tuye...bhor hone wali hai, ab raina hai thodi...the dawn of awakening is
coming soon, The gori, is really the eternal Self within.
