@peaceonhippie What're you talking about, there is some similarity in the
opening lyrics, but otherwise the songs are entirely different. Eg., there
is no equivalent of the Pinball chorus ("that deaf, dumb and blind kid,
sure plays a mean pinball") in this song; no equivalent of the basic
refrains in this song (the one at 2:05, at 3:12) in Pinball. At best, this
song is sometimes reminiscent of Pinball. Stop maligning original Hindi
music because you have problems with Anu Malik and co :P

You have a point but u know these are called 'inspirations' and not
lifting...Only the part "Jo sab karte hain yaaron woh hum tum kyun karen"
is lifted from the English song you mentioned. The rest part is absolutely
original(unless it is copied from some other sources but 99% chance not)
and is absolutely one of Jatin-Lalit masterpieces..100 times much better
than the English one..Having long hairs with a guitar in hand and
shaking your body vigorously doesn't create melodies.

amuses me how bolly music directors have tons of money and resources, but
so shaky on basics they need to lift a base tune to build on. sheer lack of
proper film soundtrack education, no moral balls to tell producers to fk
off, and laziness. consumers who don;t know the difference will love this
stuff as long as it appeals to some vague childhood memories or appeases
some traumas - also lazy.
