I didn't think they'd make a movie with the name "rock on" in India as there are no bands there.

All they listen are their bollywood actors who try to sing but fail miserably at it 90% of the time.

yes bollywood is full of rip-offs, but there are also many original composers who make amazing music. second, no place has the right to claim the ownership of a style of music. sure, rock music originated in the west, but that doesn't mean that it 'belongs' to them.

there are many many indian bands. you'll find them yt, search for bands like 'indian ocean', agni, mother jane, parikrama, advaita, euphoria, decible, khiladi, junkyard grooves, thermal and a quarter, faridkot, demonic reserrection, sceptre, superfuss, abraxas, infernal wrath etc...

it's true, many indian bands like to stay within the bounds of genres that have already been established, but there are many original indian bands out there as well- search yt for bands like indian ocean, agni, faridkot, parikrama, euphoria, advaita, colors, rainbow bridge, motherjane, khiladi, cassini's division, barefaced liar. these are my favourite. \indian ocean/
