First heard this song about forty years ago. I was three. We had an old
reel to reel tape player, but in those days it was the latest thing-kind of

Just heard this song yesterday on fm, after a long time,could'nt fully appreciate this song earlier due to small age.The melody of this song is awe inspiring.There r very few gem of songs which actually transport u to a different period.This is one of them.I dont know why but while listening to this song my heart aches to go to that period of my country in which my great grand fathers would have lived.

People who say Bollywood songs are mostly in Urdu need to do some research
on languages. You cannot separate the two languages unless it is in a
written for ie Urdu in Persian-Arab script and Hindi in Devnagri script and
they are mutually intelligible. It is worth mentioning that Urdu was
developed in India when non standard HINDI was influenced by Persian /
Arabic languages during Mughal period. Please don't talk poop if you don't
know what you are talking about.
