Honestly, the first time I saw Lucky Ali perform live - in Filmfare awards
2001, I was seriously underwhelmed. He has a great natural voice, but no
sense of timing (or musical beats) as you'd call it. Asha Bhonsle ji and
the band were struggling to pull him up as he constantly missed beats.
Things haven't changed much. Even here, the back-up vocals practically
managing the song. He cut a few good albums, that's that!
