What a waste of a performance. The song is sung by a love-stung Aashiq who
is lamenting the absence of this lover. He/she is pleading the lover to be
besides her. There's more than a twinge of sorrow to this song. The
composers changed the whole tune as if this is a love song where 2 lovers
are celebrating their "Milan". Experimentation and all is fine but that
should not be at the expense of the meaning/pathos of the song

I appreciate ur try papon...but m a huge fan of mehdi hassan n this ghazal
especially have been my fav...can't compare it n would have loved it if u
would have exempted the strings n drums coz ghazals are basically pathos
expressed thru wrds whch strings spoil...
