iIve counted many bollywood songs in their 80's and 90's movies that had
songs lifted from many Western pop and rock songs. Funny thing is: several
were from Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, lol.

the Latino sound of music and "Milli Villi" type of music was HOT back in the 80s/90s..I've also noticed Indian films used a lot of the same singers to sing most of their films, such as Alka Y., Esha, and Kavita K. NOW, the back-up singers have a much higher tone and deeper, not soft spoken like Alka's voice. I wondered if they're trying new singers and going away from the typical sweet voice. Sometimes does not match the actress's voice though.
