parvati seeing her creation destroyed threatened to destroy the universe. the elephant wasn't innocent...it was a demon with a head of an elephant he destroyed according to the story I heard...the demon's intent was to cause havoc amongst the gods so shiva destroyed it and used its head to replace the little guard...the little guard was then named ganesh and made their son...

I wish to be protected By Ganesha as the lord of Obstacles and Obstacle removal by removing curses that were send against me. Please God protect me from curses. I shall listen to this song over and over for my soul, my body and my brain to be protected from all curses set against me. I love this song; hopefully we all can remove curses set against us.
