You forgot to mention Bindu in the credits who is the actress in this clip
and who ruled the bollywood films as a vamp for many following years. This
must have been one of her earliest movies but her talent is quite apparent.

in her sweet voice! Could we have expected anything less than sheer
excellence and beauty when Lataji sang a compostion created by her Madan
Bhaiyya? Love the opening music! This is a very popular song, and yet, I
never tire of listening to it. It is always nice to see Bindu in this song,
where she does not play a negative role. The audio quality of the clip is

Madan Mohan is at is mesmerizing best! Yaman Raga is so innovatively used
here. which was a specialty of Madan. Unlike Naushad Ali's raw and obvious
usage of Ragas, Madan's would be sublime and yet would become far more
appealing to a listener. Many a times Yaman is easily recognizable but
Madan's two best songs Zara Si Ahat (Haqueeqat) & this one is a glorious
example how a composer can use Yaman and yet not make it apparent only to
enhance its sweetens & appeal!!. Love you Madan & Didi!!
