Are both versions included in the movie? As far as I know, this song was
recorded first with Mukesh ji & Kamal Barot and then with Rafi Sahab &
Suman Kalyanpur and only later version (Rafi-Suman version) was included in
the movie. Is it correct?

9431885 I will like to correct the wrong informationct appended by u. In
fact both the songs were in film.There were 4 pairs,led by Firoz khan, I S
Johar, Rajendranath & Prem Chopra. Mukesh/kamal barot song was filmed on 2
pairs while Rafi/suman Kalyanpur version was filmed on rest two.

Beautiful song. Beautiful renderings in both versions.

Will the up-loader take pains to correct the mistakes in the first version of the lyrics as provided by him in the description? Also the word "dil lagi" (in 2nd version) has been rendered by Suman ji slightly earlier in the song, and it is not at the end of the song where the word is "zindagi' in Rafi Saab's voice. This may be corrected too.

One song different voices.Personally i like Mukesh/K.Barot's combination
beacause KB's voice was totally different.Similar to Sharda's tipical

I feel Rafi Saab & Suman Kalyanpur's version is very soothing &
melodious.Mukesh & Kamal Barot have sung with very straight notes.As the
composition is same and singers are different , they have their own styles
but there is differnce in feelings of the Lyrics. Its difficult to make
understand the feelings of the song.Suman Kalyanpur has rendered this song
superbly and filled the place of Lataji. This is my understanding , I may
be wrong as I am not a master in the field.

First version of duet in voice of legendary Mukesh and Kamal Barot is
marvelous and unparalleled. I do not know whether this was pictured or not
but on radio I have heard only first version. I heard second version on
U-tube. Mukesh was such a master of melody that in every case he proved his
talent when the same song was sung by two or more singers. The songs like
Ek din bik jayega mati ke mol, Saranga teri yad men, chandan sa badan
chanchal chitawan, Aa laut ke aaja mere meet . were sung by
other good singers but people like those songs only due to Mukesh. This
song is remembered only due to Mukesh. I offer my salute to that great
singer.

I had seen this movie "Main shaadi karne chala" which had I.S.Johar and
Sayeeda Khan in it. Both versions of Mohd.Rafi/Kamal Barot and
Mohd.Rafi/Suman Kalyanpur were there in the movie sung at different times
in the movie.Very beautiful soothing song and a good movie too. I had seen
it at Minerva Cinema, Mumbai
