the onginal song is not rusputin,orginal song is "shukno patar nupur paye".its a nazrul sangeet(bangla song),kazi nazrul islam was started writting at the age of 10.he was born in 1899 and died in 1976.the main point is Boney m was formed in 1975 so how can it b orginal.so u can check intetnet.u all can search youtube too.

all these songs were copied from a song by Kazi Nazrul Islam, who was a Bengali poet of 19th century. If I am not wrong he died before 1920. So he must have made the original tune...

If you want to go that far back .. You need to listen to the European folk songs Ruse Kose Curo Imas and Uskudar'a Gider iken. These came before the Bngali one.

Shridhar Subramaniam of Sony Music has confirmed that they took inspiration from these, but bought the rights of Boney M as that was the most refined and definitive of all the songs originating from the folk songs.
