i have read somewhere that dil se represents the 7 phases of love described
in arab culture (the last phase being death, which sadly happens in this
movie). there is a lot of symbolism in the movie and in the song itself.
Can anyone explain? Also, I don't get why SRK keeps lusting after Manisha
even though she doesn't love him.

@gtmashok If Mani Ratnam wasn't confined to the more crippling conventions
of bollywood cinema (like a long drawn out period of stalking of the girl
by the hero until she finally accepts him) it would have kicked some
serious butt. but unfortunately only 8 movies make it big each year and no
less than half are wanton piles of silver nitrate for tinder compared to
this.

off for no reason at all, display disgusting behaviour, use foul language
to show how cool they are, and try to get into each others pants from the
first scene. And all this in the name of depicting the true reflection of

@Sh4productions nope dude it aint hindi ...this is urdu,
hindi is different not many ppl can know dat and they are nto to be blamed
the differences are very subtle but obvious..there is devnagri(pure
hindi), then there is hindi(khadi boli= straight from heart permitted with
diff language words) then there is URDU totally differnt, but this song is
khadi boli hindi more towards a lot of urdu words
