Completely agree with you. They botched Umrao Jaan when Rehka had made it
so beautifully and Aish could never outdo her. Not saying Aish's version
was bad, it was good for her acting skills but will never be the "best"

I had this movie in my personal collection once upon a time, really this
video quality is fantastic, and song? Lajwab , what a picturisation on
Meena Kumary. look at the costume, I heard , these dresses were made from
London under special order. Meena kumary was in ill health due to excess
drinking, her conjugal life with Kamal Amrohi was not happy, but as a true
artist she at last completed the film.
