Everything you said about Salman: this generation's view. My father
believes Om Puri is the king of bollywood because he's what ushered
bollywood into a new era; SRK is what modernized bollywood so that actors
like Salman could rise to fame. He might be in the number 1 position NOW
but that doesn't mean he's the king of bollywood, even by public choice, by
far; maybe in your eyes though, and that's ok. I'm not taking anything away
from Salman; he's a superb actor, no doubt about it.

I can guarantee that if we were to survey everyone who watches bollywood
about who the 'king' of bollywood was, SRK would be ahead. My family is one
example, all my young cousins prefer Salman whereas myself and my older
siblings (late teens or older), prefer SRK. My parents also prefer SRK.
