Rare song in true sense of the word... beautifully and soulfully rendered by Lata Mangeshkar on Nargis in movie Hulchul (1951) - Dili Kumar, Nargis, Balraj Sahni starrer; Lyrics - Khumar Barabankwi;and lilting tunes by Sajjad Hussain. His composition were always unique and distinct.

Sazzad Hussain is remembered for his songs in Sayya, Sungdill ( E hawa e raath e chaandini-by Thalath), Rusthum Sohrab( Phir thumaari yaad aayee e sanam e sanam By Rafi ) ,Khel,1857 etc, He himself shortened his carrier by his loose tounge-Arani Apparao-Hyderabad-A.P.

ppl do not know music will not appriciate this extra ordinary song of Sajjad and he is the only M.D in India has originality and par excellence. Pls do not compare him with any others. He is not arrogant but did not allow any one to take him for ride as he is supreeme as for music is concerned. What is wrong in it?

yeah i totally agree he was just in the same league of the greats like naushad but comparing to naushad sajjad had more variety in his compositions too bad he didn't have such long career but he was great
