from my guru. this is a certain accent of tamil that is appropriate to be

i say ashai and sholvai. i am tamil iyer. it is a dialect thing I believe -
i'm not an expert about any of this, but I have many iyer and iyengar
friends that tend to use 'sh' over 's'.

Yes, I have been listening to Shankar and group's songs since the time I
got to know about this wonderful rendition. I have also purchased their
shurtibox album and gifted to my friend who is also in love with this music
now. Ashai Mugam, Thuli Thuliya, Munbe Vaa is wow! Nee Nenaithal - I'm
flattered with the vocals, cannot stop listening. I equally love the other
songs - Manmohini Morey, O Re Piya, Tu Jane Na, Nadia, other instrumentals.
Yes, I would love to hear more of Kannada songs.

If you speak the language it may ruin the song for you! You will keep
thinking that they are pronouncing it wrong instead of listening! Ashai,
Nesham, those aren't even sounds in the language. Thats sounds like
sanskrit! My teacher corrects me every time I sing like that because its
unprofessional :-) but otherwise this is pretty great!
