Of course, there are other illustrated contributors to this excellent
piece, my interest is most with one only: Zakir HUssain! He is the guy who
would hypnotize you with his fingers and that accomplishment he fondly
calls 'tabla'. A real treat. Thanks Jamal, you made me revisit this whole
movie all over again.

In my college days my country was torned between rightist and leftist
intellect. Saying openly "I am influenced by Faiz Ahmad Faiz was inviting
right wing to call you Marxist. Today I can say that what I was afraid to
say in 80's. Faiz Ahmad Faiz was a mine of precious gems. One of his
precious gems Jamal you have exhibit here. Shashi Kapoor's voice is great
when he talks, so Suresh Wadkar when he sings. Please accept my special
thanks for your tireless efforts to share the gems with us.
